Bring on the Sunshine!
This weekend we decided to get out of town--more like get out of the cold and into some sunshine! I don't know of anything else that can lift my spirits like a little sun on my shoulders. Add to that three days with Luke, Isabelle, and Dylan, and it doesn't get much better. We ate way too much food, which is typical while on vacation, but we found time to do some other stuff, too.
We visited Tuacahn in some new flip flops. All shoes should cost $2.50!
We spent a 72 degree afternoon in the pool. And yes, Luke loves to have the sun in his eyes.
The kids were in awe of being on the second floor of a hotel. The elevators, ice machines, and 'credit card' keys were almost too much for a kid to take! Dylan suggested moving in, but Luke and I passed on that idea.
We went miniature golfing, and we spent some time hiking.
We got ice cream at Blue Bunny. Bunny Tracks for Isabelle, and Scooper Hero for Dylan.
Dylan was convinced we might find a coconut on one of these trees. Our favorite part of the landscape was the lack of snow, though.
On the way home, we stopped to hike at The Narrows, and much to Izzy's delight, she lost her tooth! I was off exploring a cave with Dylan, so I missed it, but Luke said she was shaking, and she hasn't stopped smiling yet. The tooth was carefully place under her pillow last night, and checked frequently during dinner. Isabelle was thrilled to find two gold $1 coins under her pillow this morning with a note from The Tooth Fairy. She's been waiting for such a long time! And while we're on the subject of waiting--could spring hurry up and get here?

How fun! Izzy looks like 10 in that last pic. I am so jealous that you got so much sun while it snowed here. At least Spring is coming soon... Daylight Savings this weekend, woohoo!
Don't you love St. George?! I hope you had such a fun time with your cute little family!
I am sooooooooo jealous
I glad you had a great Bday weekend. There's no better way to spend it than in the sun with the ones you love.
Awesome. I love St. George. Andrew saw the weather report down there and saw that it is going to be 78 degrees on Tuesday. So, we are packing up and heading down tomorrow. I am SO sick of winter.
