Picture Perfect

Dylan's class just finished studying idioms.  Each student got a square stretched canvas to paint the idiom of their choice on.  Dylan's piece is titled "Tide has turned..."

He loves art, and he loves school.  It is really great to see him excited about learning!

Best Birthday

Today was a great day. I got cards from my mom and dad, the Bergeners, and Aunt Vivian. I talked to Fred and Kelly, Emily, and got sweet messages from Jake and Liz. Luke and the kids gave me a Hydroflask and a new Buff. Izzy gave me coupons for a free massage, a movie night, and a diet coke fill-up punch card. Dylan gave me patches for my cape (family joke). Luke even made me some snickerdoodle bars...yum! And while we are talking about all things yummy, check out my birthday dinner:

STEAK FRITES

Oregon Valley Natural flank steak rubbed with paprika, peppercorns, garlic and a touch of brown sugar, served with hand cut Chimichurri sauce, truffled fries and fresh vegetables

And to wash it all down, they had homemade sarsaparilla! I was in heaven. I mean really, truffle fries? Forget about it. What a perfect day! Thanks to everyone who thought of me; it really does mean so much to me and I am very grateful to have such wonderful people in my life. I am blessed!
